OUR COMMITTEES

The aim of the Association is to contribute, through direct action, to the development of the most disadvantaged populations, particularly in Africa, Latin America and Asia. It strives to help them through targeted projects that meet the needs of local populations, aiming to improve their quality of life, preserve their own culture, and promote their autonomy.

The Association pays particular attention to projects aimed at the development of women and children, in order to improve their training and education, as well as their physical and moral health.

To extend its reach throughout Switzerland, the Association encourages the creation of cantonal committees, which have no legal personality with the exception of the Vaud Committee.

Cantonal Committees are free to organize themselves; they act under their own responsibility in accordance with the aims, spirit and statutes of the Association.

They choose which of the projects proposed by the Association to finance. They may submit new projects to the Board, which will be studied and, if they are in line with the Association’s aims, put to the vote of the next Executive Council.

They provide themselves with the bodies necessary for sustainable, ongoing activity.

Before taking any important decision involving the moral commitment of the Association, they consult the Executive Council.

Donations and bequests to a Cantonal Committee are included in the assets of the Association. The Executive Council ensures that they are properly allocated and used by the Committee that received them.
